About Trevor Beech

Hello, I’m Trevor Beech. Your qualified, experienced and compassionate Psychotherapist

I am a BACP Counsellor and Psychotherapist and abide by their professional codes of practice. You can confidently choose me as your therapist with almost three decades of experience working with individuals, groups, and company employees. I work in partnership with clients who seek a deeper understanding of themselves to help them overcome stress, emotional problems, medical conditions or troublesome habits.

I offer the highest quality care with a comprehensive therapy toolbox to care for your mental health. I specialise in EMDR (a trauma therapy), and I am an EMDR UK member of stress management and business coaching. I also offer counselling and psychotherapy, CBT, mindfulness and intuitive coaching.

A passionate and caring therapist who helps release the healing powers of therapy.
As a client, you want to feel heard and understood. I take a non-judgemental, confidential, respectful and collaborative approach to your mental health. Using recognised and evidence-based techniques, I help you shift your mindset and spark the life changes you desire.

Over the years, I have volunteered for many organisations. I was awarded regional volunteer of the year for my work that brought about positive change in people’s lives at the Macmillan Centre in St Marys Hospital.

Continued professional development
I have completed many years of counselling and psychotherapy training. Also, I have been on many long silent retreats both individually and as a group member.

By doing a minimum of 30 hours every year of Continuing Professional Development (CPD), I keep abreast of the latest thinking in therapy and provide the most effective therapy techniques to help my clients make the changes they want. I have a real passion for CPD and enjoy attending further training in stress management, coaching, CBT and EMDR.

I am fully trained and qualified in EMDR, stress management and business coaching. This provides me with the skills to teach others to manage their stress. My years of coaching and training experience also qualify me to help others improve the quality of their life or business.

Why I chose Psychotherapy

My mother was always depressed, and my father was an alcoholic. Later in life, I wanted to understand myself and my parents better. I felt drawn to become a psychotherapist. Through this training, I recognised the traumas they both went through. This led me to further train in trauma work.

I started my own business at age 22, which I successfully ran for 35 years. During that time, I studied psychotherapy for five years in my free time. In 1994 I qualified as a psychotherapist and set up my practice. I ran both businesses in parallel until 2004, when I sold the first business to focus and develop my psychotherapy practice. I am grateful to continue to enjoy the rewards of utilising my learnt skills and experience and to help people make positive changes to their lives.

I have always had a passion for helping people. Some clients have described me as having a natural gift to know what’s happening in their world.

How I work with you

I believe that therapy should be available to everyone who needs it. That’s why I offer competitive fees for my clients.

I understand that my clients lead busy lives, and I cater to this by offering online sessions in the comfort of your own home. Sessions are generally for 50 minutes and are arranged in advance. Each client’s therapy needs are different, so your therapy sessions will be tailored to meet these requirements personally.

We agree on your goals and work together to achieve them. I offer a free 20-minute initial session to get to know each other and check that we work well together.

Take your first step to realising your therapy aspirations and get in touch to discuss them more.
